Please join me in celebrating all school nutrition staff as we celebrate May 2-6 as School Nutrition Employee Week!

The week is an opportunity for parents, students, school staff and communities to thank those who provide healthy school meals to our students each day. It is important to remember that before a child can learn, they need nutritious meals, and our staff is actively participates on the front line helping to meet the needs of the whole child.

Northampton County Schools’ nutrition staff deserves extra applause because they are one of the few districts in the state who prepare, bake, and serve meals cooked from scratch!

Thank you to the school nutrition professionals in Northampton County Schools for their outstanding work providing healthy, nutritious meals to children every school day!

Every Kid Healthy™ Week: April 25-29, 2016

Join us in celebrating Every Kid Healthy™ Week from April 25-29! Launched by our partners at Action for Healthy Kids in 2013, Every Kid Healthy Week is an annual observance when schools, students, parents, and community members shine a spotlight on the efforts our school partners are doing to improve the health and wellness of students.

Over 1,000 schools will be participating and Northampton County Schools joins in the event by hosting taste tests at each of the school cafeterias. During Every Kid Healthy Week, you can help strengthen the link between nutrition, physical activity and learning--because healthy kids learn better! Make a pledge to encourage breakfast participation and be an example by engaging in regular physical activity.

Together we can make a difference in kids' lives!
