NC School Report Cards
Northampton County Schools Report Card Welcome Letter – 2025
As required by state law, each school’s Report Card includes a School Performance Grade (A–F). These grades are calculated based on student proficiency (80%) and academic growth (20%). In addition to the letter grade, the North Carolina School Report Card provides important information about school performance, including class sizes, attendance, school safety, instructional resources, technology, and teacher quality.
While the state’s grading system offers one snapshot of performance, it is important to review the full report and communicate with school staff to gain a deeper understanding of each school’s strengths and areas for growth. We encourage parents and community members to use the State Report Card—along with additional information available on our district and school websites and social media platforms—to learn more about the work taking place across Northampton County Schools.
The Board of Education, administrators, and teachers of Northampton County Schools remain committed to improving student achievement and providing high-quality educational opportunities for every student. We continue to focus on strategies that support academic growth, innovation in teaching and learning, and personalized support to ensure student success.
The NC Report Card snapshot included here is a summary of the more detailed report available online. For more information about the statewide reporting process, please contact the NCDPI Communications Division at 919-807-3450 or review the official North Carolina Department of Public Instruction press release.
Thank you for taking the time to review our North Carolina School Report Card and for your continued support of Northampton County Schools.
