Marking Periods

Northampton County School District's marking periods for elementary schools are quarterly. Each quarter commences as follows:

1st quarter - end of October
2nd quarter - end of January
3rd quarter - end of March
4th quarter - beginning of June 

Honor Roll Levels

Gaston STEM Leadership Academy recognizes students for their academic achievement at three levels. They are Principal's List, Honor Roll, and On-a-Roll (K-2). 

Board Policy Code: 3440-A Honor Roll

Eligible students will be identified for high academic performance at the end of each grading period in grades 3-12.

The basis for this honor is as follows: Principal's List - A Honor Roll

Any student who has a grade of "A" on all courses for the grading period.

Honor Roll - A/B Honor Roll

Any student who has a grade of B or A/B on all courses for the grading period but does not have all A's.

The Principal's List and Honor Roll will be published at the end of each grading period.

On-a-Roll

Students must have all threes on their report card and read on grade level.
