Keeping parents informed is a top priority of Northampton County Schools.   We use the Blackboard Connect 5 Notification System  which allows the district to send a telephone and/or email message to parents regarding important information about school events or emergencies.

We use Blackboard Connect 5 to notify parents of school delays or cancellations due to inclement weather, as well as for reminders about various events, including report card
distribution, open house, field trips, and more.

In the event of an emergency or change in school operations, you will be informed immediately by phone and/or email

What you need to know about receiving calls sent through Blackboard Connect 5

• Caller ID will display the school’s or district's main number when a general announcement is delivered.
• Caller ID will display 411 if the message is an emergency.
• Connect5 can leave a message on an answering machine or voicemail.
• If the message stops playing, press 1 and the message will replay from the beginning.

Please make sure that we have your most current phone numbers.  If this information changes during the year, please contact your child's school immediately.

If you are a district parent and are not receiving our Blackboard Connect 5 messages, please email or call your child's principal or contact your child's school data manager with the updated information.  Staff members may have their information updated by your site's data manager.

If you are receiving a call and do not have a child in our district, please contact 534-1371 and give your name and number.  We will promptly have your number removed.

I missed the call.  How can I replay the message?

To replay any missed district message, you can call Blackboard Connect Message Replay line. 

Simply dial 1-855-4-REPLAY, and choose the message you would like to review. 
**Please note that you must call from the phone that received the Blackboard Connect message.**
